BGIS 2023: 54 Teams Suspended Further, All Names And Reason
In a recent turn of events in the world of competitive gaming, the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 has witnessed a significant number of disqualifications. Krafton, the organization behind BGIS, has taken stern action against teams found in violation of the rules and code of conduct. As a result, 54 teams have been suspended further from the tournament, adding to the 155 teams that had already faced disqualification in earlier phases.
Reasons for Disqualification
The teams in question were primarily disqualified for breaking Sections 6.2.4 and 4.1 of the BGIS Rulebook. These sections pertain to player equipment and ringing, and their violations resulted in the teams’ removal from the competition.
Section 4.1 Player Equipment:
This section states that players are allowed to participate in tournaments or official competitions only on mobile phones or approved handheld devices. The use of peripheral devices of any kind, including tablets, adapters, controllers, Bluetooth keyboards, and mice, without explicit written approval from tournament officials is strictly prohibited. Players are also prohibited from using emulators to play on a PC or any other device that is not a handheld device.
Section 6.2.4 Ringing:
Playing under another player’s account or gamertag, or soliciting or inducing someone else to play under another player’s account or gamertag, is explicitly prohibited by Section 6.2.4.
