Diablo IV Sold Over 10 Million Copies, Breaks Multiple Records

1 months ago By Ronny Walker

Many people have completed the Diablo 4 main campaign, but the truth is that Blizzard will work very hard to offer interesting content in the future. Users were very satisfied with Diablo 4, so much so that it was even the fastest-selling game in Blizzard’s history. Until now the company had kept the mystery about the number of sales or players who have passed through Sanctuary, but now we know.

As per the collected reports, Activision Blizzard has published the financial results in its latest fiscal report for the last quarter. In this document, the number of players who have played Diablo 4 has been shared, and this figure rises to 10 million users in June alone. This work may have brought together more people so far this month, but at least in its first 30 days, it has been a very profitable project.

Considering that the game is not available on any subscription service, we can say that Diablo 4 has sold more than 10 million copies in 1 month so far. The other data that is also surprising is what was collected in just 5 days: 666 million dollars, a most diabolical figure. Likewise, Blizzard also believes that ” player retention trends for Diablo 4 are particularly strong .”

Upcoming contents of Diablo IV

Blizzard has reiterated on more than one occasion that they are preparing two expansions for Diablo 4. While these arrive, the Seasons will begin from time to time, and tomorrow, July 20, the first will debut: the Season of the Evil Ones. There are many new features related to the new team, fixes, content and a multitude of additional aspects.

Diablo 4 seasons start with controversy

Since the announcement of this first season of Diablo IV, there have been some critical voices with the need to create a new character to enjoy Season 1; something that on the other hand has been a constant in this kind of game even in the days of the memorable Diablo 2 with the “Ladders”. Given this scenario, Blizzard has already dropped that there could be changes later, emulating the reborn mechanics of Diablo III.

This same Thursday, July 20, the first season of Diablo 4 begins with new challenges and rewards to continue enjoying the brutal RPG action of this PC and console title that has become one of the most successful so far this year.

Diablo IV Success

As reported by Blizzard in a press release last Month in June, Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo IV has surpassed the barrier of $666 million in the initial five days of launch. These incomes have also been thanks to microtransactions, which have been the subject of controversy since some cosmetics cost up to 25 euros in Diablo 4.

The company has also shared other statistics that show the great reception of the game. In this way, 276 million hours have been exceeded and players have killed 276,000 million demons. However, users have also died 316 million times. The true heroes of the community have been the 163 people who have reached the maximum level in Hardcore Mode, that is, permanent death where you lose all your character, time and objects.
