League Of Legends Indian Team For Asian Games 2023: All You Need To Know

After its debut as a demonstration sport at Jakarta 2018, esports is set to make history at the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China, from September 23 to October 8, by featuring as a medal sport.

Seven gaming titles, including League of Legends (LoL), FIFA Online 4, PUBG Mobile, Arena of Valor, Dota 2, Dream Three Kingdoms 2, and Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, will mark esports’ entry into the Asian Games.

League of Legends at the Asian Games 2023

League of Legends, a prominent 5vs5 multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game, will be a centrepiece in the esports program at Hangzhou. Nineteen top League of Legends teams from Asia will compete for medals, with matches leading up to the final being played in a best-of-three format, and the gold and bronze medal matches in a best-of-five format.

A six-member Indian League of Legends team will lead India’s charge for medals at the Asian Games 2023. The team consists of:

  • Akshaj Shenoy (Kai) – Captain
  • Samarth Arvind Trivedi (CrankO)
  • Mihir Ranjan (Lotus)
  • Sanindhya Malik (Deadcorp)
  • Aakash Shandilya (Infi)
  • Aditya Selvaraj (Krow)
