Modern Warfare 3 PC System Requirements: All You Need To Know

1 years ago By AI Smith

Activision and Sledgehammer Games are the developers of the next first-person shooter video game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. It is the direct sequel to 2022’s Modern Warfare II and the third game in the Modern Warfare subseries to be reintroduced. The Call of Duty series has twenty installments total. On November 10, 2023, the game is expected to be published on Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

The plot of the series is carried out in Modern Warfare III while maintaining the realistic and contemporary environment of its predecessors. The tale follows Russian ultranationalist and terrorist Vladimir Makarov as he plots to start a third World War, being pursued by the multinational special operations organization Task Force 141. For the multiplayer version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, all 16 of the game’s foundational maps have been modified, and more will be added after the game launches. Modern Warfare III is the first Modern Warfare game to have a zombies mode, which is centered on an open world and pits the player against the environment.

All sixteen of the levels from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) will be playable in multiplayer from launch, along with new features including matchmade lobby voting for maps (which some earlier games lacked) and player health increases for extended “time-to-kill” (TTK). The “red dot” minimap, which stopped players from spotting enemies on their radar when they fired a weapon without a suppressor, will also appear in Modern Warfare (2019) and Modern Warfare II. Alongside the reintroduction of beloved game modes like “Kill Confirmed” and “Hardpoint,” there will be a brand-new mode called “Cutthroat” in which three teams of three players compete against each other. A The Ground War mode returns with new maps in addition to the War mode, which was last seen in Call of Duty: WWII. Artificial intelligence-powered moderation will be used in the game, monitoring in-game conversations and reporting any excessively harmful activity right away. Following launch, at least a dozen more multiplayer maps are expected to be made accessible.

Activision has disclosed the game’s PC requirements, preloading information, and other features less than two weeks before it launches.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Requirements for a Computer

The good news for gamers is that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 doesn’t have very high system requirements. An AMD Ryzen 5 1600X or an Intel Core i7-6700K is suggested as the CPU, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti / RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600XT is recommended for the GPU. The minimal, suggested, competitive, and ultra 4k Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 specs are listed below for interested readers.

Basic Requirements

  • Windows 10 64-bit with the most recent patch
  • Processor: Intel i5-6600 or AMD Ryzen 5 1400
  • RAM: 8GB
  • High-Rez Resources Cache: 32 GB maximum
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960/GTX 1650 or AMD Radeon RX 470;
  • VRAM: 2GB
  • Storage: An SSD with 149GB of free space is required (78GB only if COD HQ and Warzone are loaded first).

Activision’s Recommendations

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11 64-bit are the suggested operating systems; both should be up to date.
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X or Intel Core i7-6700K
  • 16GB of RAM, Hi-Rez Assets Cache: 32 GB maximum
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6600XT or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti/RTX 3060
  • 8GB of video memory
  • Storage: An SSD with 149GB of free space is required (78GB only if COD HQ and Warzone are loaded first).

Competitive / Ultra 4K Specs

  • Operating System: Windows 10-64-bit or Windows 11-64-bit; both should be up to date.
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X or Intel Core i7-8700K

Players should also be aware that PC users will have access to over 500 customization choices, including 4K visuals, ultrawide support, and a plethora of other settings for customization. For the greatest competitive experience, the game will also have Nvidia DLSS 3 and Nvidia Reflex, which will improve frame rates and reduce latency.

Specifics of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 PC Preload

About the preload specifics, gamers may begin preloading the game on PC as early as November 1 if they have placed a preorder and will gain campaign early access. The early access will be live on November 2. Additionally, a map of the official launch that shows the release time per area has been made public. Players will be able to preload the game starting on November 9 as it will launch in India on November 10.

While there have been some upgrades in the technology needed, Sledgehammer Games and Infinity Ward appear to have kept some of the Modern Warfare 2 standards. Naturally, some of this could just be because the launch client may have additional optimizations and this build was intended for the beta. As previously said, we’ll keep a watch out and update this post if the requirements alter before launch.

But with all the additional material in MW3 (2023)’s launch bundle, including new campaign and multiplayer modes like the open-world MW3 zombies mode and open combat missions, it’s practically a given that the game’s disk footprint will grow. Come November, all of these and more will be at your fingertips.

We discovered a lot of new information about Modern Warfare 3 at the recent CoD Next event, including the reintroduction of some well-liked features like Reload Cancel and the much-needed return of map voting.

Modern Warfare 3’s hardware specifications are unquestionably higher than those of Modern Warfare 2’s PC requirements. After the game releases, Infinity Ward could publish future upgrades that need more powerful hardware in order to play MW3 on a PC. It’s advisable to update Modern Warfare 3’s hardware and firmware since players should anticipate the game taxing their computers.
