Which CoD Games Will Be Coming To Xbox Game Pass?

1 years ago By AI Smith

Call of Duty (CoD) has continued to generate much excitement these past few months with exciting announcements after another. Given that its such a beloved first-person shooter (FPS) video game for millions of gamers around the world, it makes sense that any news regarding new updates and even new installments are met with great enthusiasm. That being said, these past few months, Call of Duty fans have been looking for any news regarding the many CoD games that will be coming to the Xbox Game Pass in 2023 and 2024. This is due to the acquisition of Activision Blizzard, the game’s developers and publishers, by Microsoft, the ones who own Xbox.

When official confirmation was given by Microsoft on 13th October 2023, that Activision Blizzard King would be joining the Xbox family, fans were ecstatic. This comes after the closure of a long 633-day process in which the Xbox Game Pass would be welcoming all Activision’s popular IPs like Call of Duty, Diablo, Overwatch, and many more that would be soon coming to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Studios.

Now that the deal has finally come to a closure, Call of Duty fans are now eagerly waiting for all the future benefits that might come with this acquisition. Luckily for them, they won’t have to wait too long for news as Microsoft and Activision have already confirmed a few key details about the popular franchise’s future. This includes whether the Call of Duty games would be available in Xbox Game Pass. Thankfully that answer is yes, and we already have a list of all the CoD games that will soon hit the Xbox shelves before the end of this year.

List of CoD Games that will be coming to Xbox Game Pass in 2023:

  1. Call of Duty
  2. Call of Duty 2
  3. Call of Duty 3
  4. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
  5. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
  6. World at War
  7. Black Ops
  8. Black Ops 2
  9. Black Ops 3
  10. Black Ops 4
  11. Ghosts
  12. Advance Warfare
  13. WWII
  14. Modern Warfare
  15. Cold War
  16. Vanguard

Other IPs To Be Added

If you’ve carefully scanned the list, you will notice that there are a few upcoming titles that are missing. This is because on 9th October, Activision Blizzard made it quite clear in an X (Twitter) post that they currently don’t have any plans to include the upcoming Modern Warfare 3 in Game Pass. This also includes currently released non-CoD titles like the popular Diablo IV game. However, there is no need to be upset, just a little more patience is needed as these titles will be hitting Xbox Game Pass sometime next year in 2024.

Just before the official closure of the deal, Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming, stated that, “The Xbox Game Pass empowers developers to bring more games to more players. We intend to make Activision Blizzard’s much loved library of games, including Overwatch, Diablo, and Call of Duty, available in Xbox Game Pass and also grow these gaming communities.”

Expected Release Date for CoD on Game Pass

For those just waiting for the moment the CoD titles are added to Xbox Game Pass, it won’t be much longer. We’ve already mentioned that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 would be coming next year along with other more recent titles. However, the rest of the titles included in the list above will start to be added once the deal has been officially closed. Until then, just keep a close eye on the social media pages of Activision Blizzard and Microsoft Gaming for more details in the coming months.

Our nest guess is that it won’t be long before those titles become available to all holders of the Xbox Game Pass whether that’s console or PC gamers. For those who want to know more, Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass is a video game subscription service that functions much like a Netflix but for video games. This means players can scroll through a seemingly endless sea of top gaming titles and play them by just providing a monthly fee. Its important to note that this service is not only reserved for people with Xbox consoles but is also accessible to owners of iOS, Android, and PC players as well.

If you’ve been looking for a platform that offers all your favourite games in one place, Xbox Game Pass is the one you need to check out. Now, that one of the world’s more popular FPS game is coming to the service, it makes sense to get your subscription now. The best part about the service is that it’s a great way to go easy on your pockets while also enjoying all the video games you want. So, stay tuned to know more updates regarding this new.
