Dota 7.34d Hero Buffs Explained: All You Need To Know

1 years ago By AI Smith

The patch updates of Dota 2 often hold the power to reshape the meta, influence competitive play, and introduce exciting changes to hero abilities. The latest Dota 2’s Patch 7.34d, arrives just in time to add a layer of complexity to the strategies employed at The International 2023 (TI12). While some patches bring massive alterations to the game, others fine-tune heroes and their abilities. Check complete details on key hero buffs introduced in Patch 7.34d and explore how they may impact the competitive Dota 2 scene.

Lifestealer’s Feast Buff: Beware the Lifestealer

Lifestealer has received a substantial buff to his Feast ability. It allows Lifestealer to deal damage to enemies based on their maximum health, making him particularly effective against high-HP heroes. This includes Strength heroes and those who opt for items like the Heart of Tarrasque. In Patch 7.34d, Feast’s Max Health Damage percentage has been significantly increased.

Feast now deals damage equivalent to 1/1.3/1.6/1.9 percent of the enemy’s maximum health rather than the previous 0.8/1/1.2/1.4 percent. The change makes Lifestealer stronger in his capacity to wreck havoc on high-HP targets, making him a possible enticing option for carry players. This enhancement comes just in time for the Heart of Tarrasque to become a well-liked meta item, allowing Lifestealer to thrive in the ongoing Dota 2 stage war.

Luna’s Defensive Upgrade: Luna blessed by Selemene

Luna has often struggled when faced with enemy heroes capable of closing the distance quickly. Patch 7.34d introduces a defensive enhancement to her skill set through an upgrade to her Aghanim’s Shard.

Historically, Luna’s Moon Glaives offered diminishing damage mitigation as they bounced between targets, with a reduction per bounce at 56/50/44/38 percent. This patch balances that aspect by setting the damage reduction at a consistent 50/45/40/35 percent. This alteration ensures that Luna’s damage output remains more consistent and her farming capabilities are accelerated.

Furthermore, Luna’s Aghanim’s Shard now offers improved self-damage reduction. Previously providing a 20 percent reduction, it now grants a more robust 25 percent reduction, coupled with an extended duration of seven seconds. These changes bolster Luna’s survivability, allowing her to withstand enemy advances and respond with increased resilience.

Complementing these adjustments, Luna’s Level 15 Talent, which reduces Eclipse Cooldown, has been amplified from a 25-second reduction to a more significant 30-second reduction. This change empowers Luna to utilize her potent ultimate ability more frequently, enhancing her combat effectiveness and versatility.

Pugna’s Tower-Demolishing Prowess: Pugna – The Demolisher

Pugna particularly excels in damaging structures with his Nether Blast. In Patch 7.34d, Pugna received a noteworthy 15 percent boost to Nether Blast’s damage against buildings.

This enhancement elevates Pugna’s already impressive ability to inflict substantial damage to structures, making him an enticing choice for teams seeking swift lane-pushing capabilities. His Nether Blast now deals a formidable 65 percent damage to buildings, up from the previous 50 percent.

Moreover, the patch introduces significant improvements to the initial three levels of Decrepify. At level 1, Decrepify now imposes a substantial 15 percent reduction in enemy movement speed, a noteworthy 10 percent slowdown at level 2, and a modest 5 percent decrease at level 3. These changes enhance Pugna’s crowd-control abilities, allowing him to exert more control in engagements and disrupt enemy movements effectively.

To further solidify Pugna’s dominance, the cast range of Decrepify has been expanded by 75 units at all levels. This augmentation empowers Pugna to control engagements, manipulate the battlefield, and establish himself as a formidable presence on the Dota 2 stage.

Ogre Magi’s Power Surge: Bigger, Better, Faster, Stronger

Ogre Mag has been granted a major power boost in Patch 7.34d. The two-headed ogre now boasts an enhanced cast range for both his Fireblast skill and Unrefined Fireblast, extending their reach by an additional 50 units.

Moreover, Bloodlust has received a substantial upgrade. The attack speed boost granted by Bloodlust has been increased at levels 2, 3, and 4, offering increments of 5, 10, and 15, respectively. This enhancement makes Ogre Magi an even more potent force in team engagements, with the attack speed increase applying to allied heroes.

Additionally, Ogre Magi’s personal bonus attack speed has seen a universal increase of 10 points at all experience levels, further solidifying his status as a formidable presence in the game. These buffs to Ogre Magi’s abilities elevate his utility and effectiveness in various roles, making him a hero to watch in the competitive scene.

Meepo’s Aghanim’s Scepter Enhancement: The Meepo Factor

The latest patch introduces significant buffs to Meepo’s Aghanim’s Scepter ability, known as “Megameepo.” This upgrade impacts the duration of Megameepo, extending it from the previous 20-second duration to a more robust 25 seconds. This change allows Meepo players to maintain a larger and more potent presence in team fights, increasing their impact on the game.

Furthermore, Marci’s trusty sidekick will now persist in an active state with 50 percent effectiveness, even when not explicitly cast on an allied target. This change adds a layer of strategic depth to Meepo’s gameplay, allowing players to optimize their performance and versatility.

Dota 2’s Patch 7.34d introduces a series of hero buffs that promise to influence hero choices, strategies, and the competitive landscape. From Lifestealer’s potential resurgence as a carry pick to Luna’s newfound defensive capabilities, these changes open up exciting possibilities for teams and players at The International 2023 and beyond.

Pugna’s tower-demolishing prowess and Ogre Magi’s enhanced utility further diversify the hero pool, while Meepo’s Aghanim’s Scepter enhancement adds depth to his gameplay. As the Dota 2 community eagerly anticipates the unfolding of TI12, these buffs inject fresh excitement into the evolving world of competitive Dota 2.
