With the Group Stage in full swing, the race for the coveted Playoff spots is heating up. In a thrilling turn of events, BetBoom Team, Quest Esports, and Talon Esports have emerged as the first three teams to secure their positions in the Upper Bracket of the Playoffs.

Group Stage Recap:

The Group Stage has been a roller-coaster ride, with unexpected twists and turns that kept fans on the edge of their seats. As the teams fought fiercely for dominance, BetBoom Team, Quest Esports, and Talon Esports stood out from the rest and showcased their mettle in their respective groups.

Group A: Quest and Team Spirit Lead the Pack

Group A has been a battleground of intense competition, with several teams vying for the top spots. Quest Esports, a rising Western European squad, demonstrated their prowess by securing the top position with an impressive 8-4 record. They delivered dominant performances against South America’s Evil Geniuses and held fellow Western European squad OG to a 1-1 tie. Quest’s consistent performance has established them as a formidable force in Group A.

Hot on Quest’s heels is Team Spirit, the reigning International 2021 champions. With a solid 7-5 record, they showcased their resilience by sweeping China’s Xtreme Gaming and splitting their series with OG on day three. Team Spirit is well-positioned for an upper-bracket berth in the Playoffs.

Group B: BetBoom Dominates

In Group B, BetBoom Team has been a force to be reckoned with, claiming the top spot with an outstanding 10-2 record. After a strong 6-0 start, BetBoom faced a minor setback with losses to Team Secret on day two. However, they bounced back with a perfect 4-0 outing on day three against Talon Esports and Team Aster. BetBoom’s dominance in their group has made them one of the top contenders in the tournament.

Talon Esports secured their upper bracket position with a commendable performance, sweeping Shopify Rebellion and settling for second place in Group B with an 8-4 record. Talon has shown its ability to adapt and compete at the highest level.

Upper Bracket Playoffs and Beyond:

Securing a place in the Upper Bracket of the Playoffs provides a significant advantage for the teams. The top four teams from each group will earn upper-bracket berths, while the fifth to sixth-placed teams will start in the lower bracket. The bottom two teams from each group will face elimination.

With BetBoom Team, Quest Esports, and Talon Esports securing their spots in the Upper Bracket, they have a chance to battle it out with the best teams in the world for a direct route to the Grand Finals.

The Playoffs, scheduled from 25th to 30th July, will feature a double-elimination format, making it a thrilling and gruelling contest. Each match in the Playoffs will be a best-of-three, except for the Grand Finals, which will be a best-of-five series.
