4 methods to Unlock Deadlock in Valorant: Episode 7 Act 1

2 months ago By AI Smith

Valorant recently released a new agent called Deadlock as part of Episode 7 Act 1. Hailing from Norway, Deadlock brings a unique set of abilities to the game, revolving around high-tech gadgets in the form of traps and wires.

Excitement is brewing within the community as players eagerly anticipate the chance to try out Deadlock. However, with the new patch, Valorant has also made significant changes to the game’s progression system, including how new agents are unlocked.

In this article, we will explore the four different methods available to unlock Deadlock and any other new Valorant agent.

Method 1: Unlocking Deadlock with Valorant Points (VP)

The easiest way to unlock Deadlock is by purchasing her with Valorant Points (VP), the game’s premium currency. During her 28-day recruitment event, you can acquire Deadlock for 1000 VP, equivalent to $10 USD.

By using this method, Deadlock will be instantly unlocked, allowing you to play with her in any game mode. It’s important to note that this option is only available for a limited time, so if you prefer acquiring her with VP, act swiftly.

Method 2: Unlocking Deadlock with Experience Points (XP)

Another way to unlock Deadlock is by earning her Experience Points (XP). XP is the currency obtained by playing matches and completing daily and weekly tasks. To unlock Deadlock, you’ll need to accumulate 200,000 XP, which can be quite challenging.

Earning XP requires playing a significant number of games, possibly around 35 or more, depending on your performance. You receive 100 XP for playing a round and 200 XP for winning a round. There are also additional XP rewards for winning the first game of the day and completing challenges. Although it may be time-consuming, unlocking Deadlock with XP is a more cost-effective alternative to purchasing her with VP.

Method 3: Unlocking Deadlock with Xbox Game Pass

If you have a subscription to Xbox Game Pass, you can unlock Deadlock for free. Xbox Game Pass is a service that offers access to a wide range of games on Xbox and PC for a monthly fee.

By linking your Xbox Game Pass account to your Riot account, you gain immediate access to all agents in Valorant, including Deadlock. This option is particularly enticing if you already have or plan to get an Xbox Game Pass subscription, as it allows you to explore other games such as Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, and Psychonauts 2.

Method 4: Unlocking Deadlock with Kingdom Credits

Once the Recruitment Event for Deadlock concludes, you have the option to unlock her using 8,000 Kingdom Credits. Kingdom Credits are a new currency that can be earned by playing matches and completing daily tasks. The best part is that you don’t need to spend real money to obtain them. However, this option is only available once the Recruitment Event ends and should be considered a last resort.

Keep in mind that your Kingdom Credits have a limit of 10,000, so be sure to spend them wisely. Additionally, Riot has rewarded players with 5,000 Kingdom Credits at the start of Episode 7 Act 1, which means you only need to earn an additional 3,000 Kingdom Credits to unlock Deadlock.

Deadlock, the new Sentinel agent in Valorant, has captured the attention of players. With various methods available to unlock her, including Valorant Points, Experience Points, Xbox Game Pass, and Kingdom Credits, players now have the opportunity to experiment with Deadlock’s unique abilities in different game modes. Choose the method that suits you best and dive into the action with this exciting addition to the Valorant roster.
