Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Why Didn’t Aster Appear In The First Two Games?
A curious detail for fans of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Breath of the Wild and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Cataclysm. Why is Aster absent in the first two games? The character appeared in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Cataclysm as a seer in the service of Ganon. However, he does not appear in the other two games.
Because it does not show up? Well, the truth is that the origin of this character is found in the evil Terrak from the Age of Cataclysm, the one who was in Hyrule Castle when the good Terrak of the present day from Breath of the Wild arrived in that past. The Terrak from the Age of Cataclysm turned evil because Ganon entered him with the malice that came from that past along with the good Terrak.
Malice corrupted the evil Terrak, and a seer gained prominence upon encountering this evil Terrak. This seer was Aster, who believed that Ganon had chosen him because the evil Terrak was showing him images of the future. However, it was Ganon who was using Aster to help him with his plan.
Why Aster Rose
In this way, we can say that Aster rises because he meets the evil Terrak. This explains why Aster is neither in Breath of the Wild nor in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Aster only meets the evil Terrak in the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Cataclysm timeline, while in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom that never happens because the good Terrak travels back in time and is no longer there. no Terrak exists in that timeline.
Fans were wondering at the time why he was not present in Breath of the Wild and where he was at the time and even speculated that he would be in the sequel. Aster did exist in the Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom timelines, but never meeting the evil Terrak he never rose to become a villain. He surely was a normal seer but so far no clues have been found about his existence in this different timeline from Hyrule Warriors: Age of Cataclysm.
