Virtus.pro Will not Be Making Any Changes in Their Dota 2 Team

Ivan Potocki | August 17, 2017 | Dota 2 | No Comments

Virtus.pro became the best Dota 2 team when it comes to CIS Region and this season has been very successful for this team. Even though many will characterize their result at the International 7 as a failure, other results are showing that Virtus.pro has been in a very good form this season. This period after the end of the International is usually reserved for making changes in the team’s rosters and there will be hardly any team in Dota 2 world that will not make at least some changes.

However, Virtus.pro will be one of those rare teams that will be sticking with the roster they currently have. The CIS region team has done the same when it comes to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team which indicates that the team stability is the main idea that drives this entire eSports organization.

The Stability of the Team

Many experts will say that the stability of the team is one of the most important aspects of a successful team in Dota 2 world. Virtus.pro is one of the teams that operate on that principle and they never made a huge number of changes in their team. They have tried to stick with their team for as long as possible because that enabled players to know each other very well.

Having good connections among the players in the team is something that every team wants and making constant changes in the team is something that ruins those connections and the atmosphere in the team. The proof that the team stability might be very important for success came back in April of this year when Virtus.pro reached the grand finals of the Kiev Major. They were not able to win the win the trophy but they still achieved a huge success.

The team that currently features Ilya ‘lil’ Ilyuk as well as Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko does not need to worry about the quality of their players. Previously mentioned players are some of the best that CIS region can offer at this moment. Because of that, Virtus.pro will be poised for even bigger success next season which is something that other teams will have a huge problem with.

Problems for other Teams

As we have said before, Virtus.pro is absolutely the best Dota 2 team in the CIS region and in the last couple of years, other teams were not able to do anything against them in the competitions. The fact that Virtus.pro will be sticking with their roster for the next season has worried almost all teams in that region.

Other teams have been trying to take down VP from the throne for quite some time but with the news that no player will be leaving the team, other teams have been panicking a bit because VP has closed the cycle of players moving from one team to another. Those other teams will have a lot of problems creating a roster that will be able to match VP in the matches because there are not a lot of free players who could take on the mission of defeating Virtus.pro in the CIS Region.
