This growth is majorly attributed to the return of the popular game Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). The game, after facing suspension in July 2022, returned amidst immense joy by the community.

Besides Skyesports also forayed into Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) which has further boosted the already flourishing esports landscape in the country. Following are a few of the major esports tournaments that will take place in the second half of 2023.

BGMI Masters Series Season 2 – ₹2.1 Crore

One of the main events on the program is the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS), which began on August 4 and runs through August 27. This competition, which has a mind-blowing prize fund of 2.1 crore, will draw elite talent from all over the nation. The BGMS promises to display the best gameplay while also fostering India’s esports industry. The competition is anticipated to garner a sizable audience as competitors engage in virtual combat, igniting interest in esports and inspiring aspiring gamers to take their hobby more seriously.

Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 – ₹2 Crore

Another significant competition making headlines in the Indian esports scene is the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023, which is set to run from July 20th to October 14th. The BGIS will draw more players to the professional circuit thanks to its huge prize money of Rs. 2 crore, which will increase the talent pool. This will therefore open up attractive investment options for teams, organizations, and sponsors in the quickly expanding esports business, driving it further expansion in India.

Skyesports Masters -₹2 Crore

Skyesports Masters, India’s first franchise Esports League, is poised to have a significant influence by diversifying the gaming landscape. The league, which focuses on the well-known game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), has a prize pool of Rs. 2 crore. Skyesports Masters wants to improve the professional side of esports in India by using a franchise concept.
