The Kiev Major Kicks Off With Invictus Gaming And OG In Focus
|
Yesterday, one of the biggest Dota 2 tournaments this year, The Kiev Major has started with the matches of the group stages. The opening matches of the Kiev Major provided a lot of good action, amazing games, and very interesting results. However, by far the most interesting aspect of the opening matches of this tournament was the match between Invictus Gaming and OG in what turned out to be the rematch of the match that they played at the Dota 2 Asia Championship just a couple of weeks ago.
The mentioned Dota 2 Asia Championship saw Invictus Gaming taking the crown, and in the final match, they defeated OG with an overwhelming 3-0 score. When the groups and the schedule were released for the group stage of the Kiev Major, one match was promising to be the biggest of them all, and that match was the one between Invictus Gaming and OG. For the latter, this would be an opportunity to take revenge. However, Invictus Gaming also had something to say, and considering the results they had in the last year, Invictus Gaming might be the biggest favorite for winning the title at this tournament.
OG And Invictus Go Head To Head
After days of announcements and building up to this match, last night, Invictus Gaming and OG finally faced each other in the second round of the group stage at the Kiev Major. Before the match, OG decided to put Johan “N0tail” Sundstein in the pit, but even that did not prove to bring much success as Invictus Gaming started the match very aggressively. Ye ‘BoBoKa’ Zhibiao, once again proved to the crucial factor for Invictus Gaming just like he did when they were playing in the final of Dota 2 Asia Championship. The second game proved why Invictus Gaming and OG are currently some of the best Dota 2 teams in the currently.
During the first forty minutes of the game two, OG managed to pin Invictus Gaming and their play-style to the ground. In that effort, OG cleverly allowed BoBoKa to use his Riki as a sort of distraction while they are focusing on some other objectives. However, even though OG looked very good in the first forty minutes of the game 2, that was not enough to push Invictus Gaming to the point of no return. OG had the advantage when it comes to the number of kills, but Invictus Gaming was creating a significant difference with the net-worth. The crucial factor for Invictus Gaming is the game two came when BurNing using his Anti-Mage went on such a roll that deemed him as unstoppable. Eventually, that led Invictus Gaming to win game two and with that, they once again won against OG.
The match between Invictus Gaming and OG proved once again that these two teams are the best in the business. Besides that, we were once again convinced that these two teams deserve the biggest prize when it comes to the world of Dota 2 eSports scene. The Kiev Major has just started, and this game will not be the only game that will be defined as one of the best. We are sure of it as we are heading to some other amazing match-ups.
