Sony PlayStation won’t participate in Gamescom 2023, Know the reasons why

After celebrating the PlayStation Showcase and being present at the Summer Game Fest, the company that owns PlayStation has confirmed that it will not be at Opening Night Live on August 22.

Like every year, this summer is full of video game events organized by several of the big companies in the industry aimed at making players aware of their future projects. So far we have been able to enjoy the PlayStation Showcase and the Summer Game Fest presentation, and we are still waiting to enjoy the Xbox Games Showcase and the Starfield Direct, in addition to the Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live, which will take place on August 22. Regarding the latter, Sony PlayStation has confirmed through the German media GamesMarkt that, like last year, it will not be present.

The cited media indicates that the company has confirmed that PlayStation will not attend the German video game fair. Although the reasons have not been specified, this may be because Sony does not believe that it has much more to show after its PlayStation Showcase and its participation in Summer Game Fest, where the final release date of the highly anticipated Marvel’s was revealed.
