RLCS World Championship 2023: Team Vitality Takes Gold; All You Need To Know
Team Vitality recently won the RLCS 2023 World Championship. The team had a successful run of 5 Major trophies in a row. Ever since 16-year-old zen joined the team at the beginning of the Spring Series, the team has only grown upwards. This team has gone against all the odds to make history at the RLCS. They did so by first taking the European brackets by storm followed by the rest of the world.
During the Grand Final Team Vitality locked horns with Team BDS who are one of the best teams in the space. Interestingly, both the teams are in the European brackets. Team Vitality went on taste victory at the Grand Final winning 4-0 once again showing their strength in the recent months. They have created a position for themselves with some of the most jaw-dropping offensive plays to ever play Rocket League.

Team Vitality’s Journey at RLCS World Championship
Team vitality secured their spot at the World Championship after earning maximum points in the recently concluded Spring Series. This gave them the 2nd spot on the European points table. Thanks to their ranking they could skip the Wildcard Swiss bracket and go straight into the group stages wherein they faced Moist Esports.
After defeating Moist Esports 4-0 and Spacestation Gaming 4-1 in the group stages of the tournament, they moved on to the Quarterfinals. They came second in the swiss stages in the Quarterfinals beating Team Falcons 4-2 and thus progressing to the Semifinals.
In the Semifinals team vitality went up against Karmine Corp, another dominant team. Karmine Corp ranks 1st in the European points brackets thanks to them earning 226 RLCS points this season. However their rank didn’t make a difference to zen’s Team Vitality as they as they beat them 4-2 to move on to the Grand Final.
Finally in the Grand Final math, Team Vitality started off strong by claiming victory in the first game 3-0. They knocked out Team BDS’ confidence which affected their score in the second game as they lost without a single goal. In the third game, Team BDS looked very strong and led the game at overtime. However, zen made a comeback to beat team BDS 3-0 in the series.
In the last game of the series, Team Vitality won 2-0 to eliminate Team BDS and walk away with the new RLCS World Championship trophy and $600k.
