Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Death Stranding To Join iPhone 15 In 2023
Apple is hailing the iPhone 15 Pro as a breakthrough advancement in the mobile gaming industry. The Cupertino tech titan is bragging about its support for a variety of console and PC games that weren’t previously compatible with portable devices.
The Tuesday event was primarily concerned with the upcoming iPhone and Apple Watch lineup updates. Apple claims that the titanium iPhone 15 Pro is the lightest Pro model it has ever produced, and the iPhone 15 will be the first phone to feature USB-C connectivity.
Thanks to the Steam Deck, handheld gaming changed in the last two years. Other tech firms have created portable devices that can play complete versions of video games as a result of Valve’s portable PC gaming device and the growth of cloud gaming, including the Razer Edge, Lenovo Legion Go, Logitech G Cloud, ROG Ally, and the planned PlayStation Portal.
Playing the massive releases that are only available on PCs and consoles on mobile is now possible thanks to the development of cloud gaming. However, as the games are streamed to the phone, the ability to play depends on internet connectivity.
Apple has consistently demonstrated the capabilities of its M1- and M2-series chips at prior keynotes, making gaming on its laptops feel like it is genuinely doable thanks to the company’s latest hardware. However, notwithstanding Hideo Kojima, game creators have so far been hesitant to accept Apple’s new, audacious claims that it is concerned about gaming on Macs.
One of the most exciting aspects of this announcement was learning that the iPhone 15 Pro will include a diverse selection of AAA games, including specifically adapted editions of popular games like Resident Evil 4 Remake, Resident Evil Village, Death Stranding, and Assassin’s Creed Mirage. In order to improve the gaming experience on the iPhone, Apple has also hinted at significant performance improvements, such as the use of ray tracing technology.

As the first instance of an Assassin’s Creed game of console or PC quality to run natively on the iOS platform, Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s release on the iPhone 15 Pro is a key turning point in the world of mobile gaming. It’s vital to keep in mind that this is distinct from cloud streaming and the new Assassin’s Creed game, which will only be available on mobile devices. These games will likely be accessible in their entirety on the iPhone 15 Pro. Though there are still many unknowns regarding the actual performance of these AAA games and how they will affect the iPhone 15 Pro’s battery life, the idea of playing current-gen AAA games on portable hardware is unquestionably alluring.
Games including Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 4, and Death Stranding are scheduled to be released for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max in the coming months. In the meantime, Assassin’s Creed Mirage fans can anticipate the iOS release in the first half of 2024. The iPhone version of Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be released a little after its console and PC equivalents on October 5, according to the respective release dates previously announced for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
