Pluto Anime’s new trailer, release date, characters, when & where to watch all episodes
If Netflix takes us through the valley of bitterness with cancellations and subscriptions, at least in terms of anime it does not stop giving us joy and this year it comes with a very powerful catalogue. One of the most interesting projects coming our way this year is ‘Pluto’, an adaptation of the manga by Naoki Urasawa and Takashi Nagasaki.
So far we would already be happy with a manga from the creator of ‘Monster ‘, but as if that were not enough, this story is based on the ‘Astro Boy’ by the legendary Osamu Tezuka.
It is not a normal investigation story
Specifically, ‘Pluto’ is inspired by the story’ The best robot on the face of the Earth ‘ by Tezuka, and is set in a futuristic world where humans and robots coexist peacefully. The plot follows investigator Gesicht, who starts working on a case with victims on both sides, and everything seems to point to a robot being responsible for the murders.
In addition to the new trailer for ‘Pluto’, which has already shown a lot more of the animation and looks very promising, during Anime Expo 2023 Netflix has also confirmed the release date for October 26, 2023. It has also been revealed that Urusawa’s full manga will be adapted with eight hour-long episodes.
It may seem a bit rushed, but if we take into account the length of the footage, it would stay in a normal anime season of about twenty-few chapters, so depending on the pace it can be enough to adapt the story correctly. M2STUDIO and GENCO are handling the animation along with Tezuka Productions, and Makoto Tezuka, the mangaka’s son, is also handling the anime. Now we just need summer to pass as soon as possible and we can see ‘ Pluto in full.
