For example, in the battle against Luffy, Katakuri could have easily used his Observation Haki to see Luffy’s attack coming. However, he was so afraid of failing that he didn’t even try to dodge it. This ultimately led to his defeat.

Katakuri was winning the battle, but he was so afraid of losing that he started to hallucinate. He saw visions of himself losing the battle, and this caused him to make a mistake. 3. He is too arrogant.
