The new patch for version 16.0.3 is a rebootless update that broadly updates the system’s database of swear words. Nintendo has released a new firmware update patch for version 16.0.3. As we already told you at the time, the Japanese company released a patch to update the hybrid console to version 16.0.3 at the beginning of May, while at the end of the same month, it released a small update of the same version.
As data miner OatmealDome highlights in the attached tweet, the new patch is another “rebootless update.” Like the previous one, this latest change also updates the system’s “swear words list”, so it includes minor changes. As the same source has previously mentioned, “rebootless updates” are “silently installed” on Nintendo Switch, so users don’t need to update manually.
What’s new in update 16.0.3
As we told you at the time, the 16.0.3 update added a series of tweaks and improvements to system stability to optimize the overall experience. “General system stability improvements to improve user experience”, can be read in the notes. OatmealDome noted in a subsequent post that “Nintendo has fixed some bugs that can occur during multiple simultaneous operations on save data.”
