Naruto: 5 Most Surprising Revelations Of Minato’s Anime
Naruto recently released a new manga by Minato Namikaze, the fan-favourite character according to the votes. The spin-off was just released as a result of the NaruTop99 voting, which revealed the fan-favourite characters. Shortly after it was confirmed that the popular Minato Namikaze would premiere his spin-off in 2023. Whether fans got what they expected with the new manga is something we don’t know yet. What we can do is analyze some of the most surprising revelations in this one-shot of Naruto starring his parents.
The Rasengan was created from the Bijudama
Another of the most impressive revelations from the new Naruto manga is why Minato invented the Rasengan. The ninja prodigy was not only perfecting sealing techniques, but he was also training the Rasengan in his spare time. The reason is that he witnessed the fearsome Bijudama that the Jinchuriki could throw in combat, and he wanted to teach Kushina a comparable technique.
The Rasengan is the equivalent of a Bijudama made by an ordinary person without a monstrous amount of chakra. The idea was that Kushina could use her in the form of her Jinchuriki, and though she couldn’t, Naruto didn’t fail to finish what they started.
Naruto’s seal is an ancient technique improved by Minato
What many of us were waiting for in the new Naruto Manga focused on Minato were details about the sealing techniques. We particularly learned that the spiral-shaped seal that contained the Nine-tailed Fox was not that strong. Several layers of the seal were needed, including in the village, to keep the beast contained. But Minato improved the sealing technique that had been used for generations, adding his chakra points. Thanks to this, both Kushina and Naruto Uzumaki were able to walk freely without so much fear of losing control.

Jiraiya was a guide in the creation of the Rasengan
The powerful Jiraiya is known for having taught Naruto the Rasengan, the fourth Hokage’s technique. However, in the new Minato Namikaze -focused manga it is revealed that Jiraiya was also involved in the creation. Minato was thinking about the Bijudama, but he was having trouble shaping the chakra. Jiraiya advised her to do it in the shape of the swirl of his hair. But Minato had two whirlpools in opposite directions, and neither knew which one to choose. As they shared Naruto-style popsicles, Minato had the idea to use both directions. A short time later Rasengan was born.
Kushina named the Rasengan
One of the central points of the new Naruto manga centred on Minato is the search for happiness by the Jinchuriki. Mito Uzumaki teaches Kushina that the most important thing is to find love. This way she could be happy despite his status as a Jinchuriki. This also teaches him to see the whirlpool of the Uzumaki clan as a “spiral” that can always be climbed. This is where Kushina is inspired to name the “Rasengan”, a technique that Minato developed for her.
It was Kushina who turned Minato into Hokage
As we mentioned above, the new Naruto manga starring his parents shows us Mito’s teachings to Kushina. Every word loomed large throughout the entire one-shot. Mito took Kushina down some spiral stairs when she was very little. At the top, they had a beautiful view not only of the village. In a moment of sincerity, the old Mito confessed that what fills her when she feels empty is to go up there. But not to admire Konoha, but to see the monument to the first Hokage, who was her husband. She suggests that she find something that fills her in the same way. This is very important because, at the end of the manga, we can see Kushina appreciating Minato’s face next to the Hokage. It seems to hint that the ninja is to her like the monument to Mito. However, a second meaning may be that she set herself the goal of making him Hokage.
Minato himself confirms this for us in the original Naruto manga, where he claims that it was Kushina who made him Hokage and he didn’t even want that honour if she died. There is no doubt that they loved each other until their last moments and that together they were almost unstoppable.
