Myanmar’s First eSports App – Eternity: All You Need To Know
An enterprising group of gamers in Myanmar and excited local eSports fans, have launched a new esports centric app in the country. The app is names as ‘Eternity’ and is specially designed for esports fans.
About Eternity
Eternity’s COO Aung Khant Zaw said that it is expected that the “Eternity” app will become the “be all and end all portal” for all the local Myanmar eSports fans and enthusiasts. Zaw also added that there are several features which the community will be able to enjoy, including exclusive live tournament broadcasts, video clips, news articles and merchandise from their favourite teams.
According to Zaw, Eternity has a special dedicated department that will also report on all eSports relevant news, from the international as well as local circuit.
As far as the esports scene in Myanmar is concerned, titles like Mobile Legends, Dota 2, Valorant, CS:GO and PUBG:Mobile, are the most popular ones. Zaw also added that for now, Eternity has been signed as the official partner of Falcon esports. Falcon Esports is one of the biggest esports organisations in Myanma, with a massive userbase.
Soon after the app Eternity was launched, they also announced Season 2 of the famous “Light of Dawn” tournament. Light of Dawn is a competition featuring a prize pool of 20 million Kyats. The first edition was hosted by Eternity itself in September last year.
Zaw said, “We are very much interested in collaborating with other organisers for exclusive tournaments. One of the main appeals of our app is that our live broadcasts of tournaments will be protected from screen capture and recording. We want to give the audience the premium taste of being able to watch exclusive content.”
Although currently Myanmar’s esports scene is more famous in the mobile gaming market, Zaw expressed his belief that there it will soon see an overall growth. As for now, Eternity is only focusing on being the gathering point for all esports enthusiasts in Myanmar.
