Man City Esports Announces Partnership With Challengermode
The esports vertical of English football club Manchester City, Man City Esports, has officially announced a partnership deal with popular esports tournament platform Challengermode.
As per the partnership deal, starting with the upcoming weekly FIFA 23 and Rocket League tournaments, Man City Esports will own a separate dedicated section on the Challengermode. Additionally the platform has also been announced as the official esports platform of Man City Esports.
The esports club’s first FIFA 23 tournament, names the ‘Treble Winners Cup’, is all set to take place on 29th June. It will be open to all European players, who will have the opportunity to get a signed City first-team shirt. The players who perform exceptionally well will also stand a chance to win other prizes such as signed shirts and match tickets, among other exciting rewards. In addition to this, Man City Esports also revealed that it is planning to host tournaments for other esports game titles in the coming future.
Man City Football club has actively forayed into the esports arena with several collaborations in the past. Most recently, they announced their partnership with multinational esports organisation Gen.G, just a few days ago.
Ever since its launch, Man City’s esports vertical has witnessed significant growth. They have established professional teams in notable esports titles like Fortnite and EA Sports FIFA. Their rosters include well-known players like ‘Shellzz,’ who is the reigning ePremier League Champion of 2020/21, and ‘Threats,’ who won the 2023 DreamHack San Diego competition.
On the other hand, Challengermode has had a highly active year, with collaboration with BLAST for the CS:GO Paris Major as well as the Rainbow Six Siege Major tournaments. Besides, the platform also recently announced a partnership with the International Esports Federation (IESF) just ahead of the 2023 Esports World Championship.
