LoL July 023: Skin Price And Number, Description, More Than 1500 Skins And More

1 years ago By AI Smith

The first skin arrived in LoL when we were still in the middle of 2009. The iconic Black Alistar was introduced to the game as a reward for players who had purchased the collector’s edition and launched Riot Games’ business plan.

A free game in which we could spend money to buy new appearances of our favourite characters. It doesn’t even make sense to remember how successful the idea was, because on this occasion a number is enough to be clear. Since that recoloured version of Alistar was introduced to the game, a total of 1,555 different skins have been released. Not surprisingly, the company is going to repeat this monetization system even in its future fighting game.

How much would it cost to buy all the League of Legends skins?

The large number of cosmetics that have come to the Riot Games video game since its launch usually arouses great curiosity in the community. Among the doubts is the total price of the skins. We know that buying all the League of Legends skins would be extremely expensive and uninteresting for most players. Skins aren’t required, and even if we like them, just having a couple of outfits for each champion will suffice. However, none of this avoids the almost morbid curiosity to know the exact number that would be required to complete this collecting challenge.

The good thing about League of Legends is that its history is documented with great accuracy, so the task is by no means impossible. Our first step will be to classify the skins based on their price and availability. Some can no longer be bought. This does not always mean that they are impossible to obtain, although we will explain that later.

The problem with League of Legends skins is that ‘only’ 1,056 can be purchased directly from the in-game store at any one time. The numbers you see in parentheses in the table are the cosmetics that are obtained through the Hextech Crafting system or are on sale at special times. This means that the purchase must be carried out in two steps.

Direct purchase: They can be purchased directly in the store without major complications and their acquisition would cost 1,279,960 Riot Points.

Indirect purchase: We must acquire 454 cosmetics through the ‘reroll’ in Hextech Crafting (the sum of the numbers in brackets in the table). For this, we would need 1362 fragments. Taking into account the probability of getting a skin fragment (70%), the cheapest would be to buy 70 packs of 28 chests at 5,265 RP per pack. This would add up to an additional 393,750 RP.

Impossible: In the special aspects section there are 45 (in brackets in the table) that cannot be obtained in exchange for money.

Along with Miss Fortune, Lux is the League of Legends character with the most skins: 19.

The expense reaches 1,673,710 Riot Points. The most profitable way to buy them would be to buy 124 packages of one hundred euros, which brings us to a total sum of 12,400 euros to get all the skins that we can get in League of Legends. We’ve made the most accurate estimate possible, though keep in mind that the full list of cosmetics exclusively obtainable in Hextech Crafting isn’t accessible, which might slightly change the amount.

Everything is said, this would be the price if we wanted to obtain all the aspects in a single day. We could save a lot of money by taking advantage of weekly sales or other promotions. Even so, anyone who can buy all the appearances of the League of Legends champions is surely not looking to save a few euros. You can also become a professional player, work at Riot Games or be part of the company’s partner program to unlock almost all cosmetics on your account.

This is what happens if you buy all the skins

In addition to having spent 12,400 euros, you would have 19 Lux skins and as many Miss Fortune skins that we don’t know how you could use. However, that would not be the most interesting consequence after buying them all. Two things only happen to users who have the full collection of League of Legends cosmetics. The first is that when “Your Store” events hit, they can’t buy anything at all. The game simply sends them a message that no cosmetic meets the criteria to be selected for their offers.

Players with all skins receive a special message in “Your Shop” events.

However, there is also a curious reward. It has an unofficial character, but many users who have completed the collection and have contacted the company have received the option to get one of the following skins for free, which are on the list of the 45 impossible to get in the videogame:

Rusty Blitzcrank

Pax Sivir (Original)

Pax Twisted Fate (Original)

Urfwick (Original)

Riot Singed

Championship Riven (Original)

There is nothing beyond these rewards and progress in collection challenges. Despite everything, it is a very curious prize: a collector values little more than access to another exclusive cosmetic.
