One thing that you might notice when betting on League of Legends teams entails looking at how well they can handle different lanes. A team that knows how to work with particular lanes is always capable of winning more often.
The lanes in a LoL match relate to the spaces that people can travel along when trying to get to certain objectives. These are numerous lanes in a typical match that people can attempt to control and access. Those who are capable of controlling more lanes will be able to move forward and dominate a match.
But before you bet on any team, you have to look at how well a team can handle particular lane strategies. There are a number of good strategies that can be used in any case. You should see what these can do as a means of seeing how well a team can dominate a match provided that such moves are organized and used properly.
Top Lane Control
Many great teams work by defending their top lanes. The top lane is typically the spot where ambushes are more likely to occur at. This comes from how the top lane is often hidden from others in a match.
The top lane is often used because it is easy to get around such a spot without worrying about enemies coming from too many directions. This comes from the strong border on one side of the lane keeping things a little more predictable, what with there being a solid space around the area.
When a team is able to defend its top lane without problems, it will be easier for that team to succeed and move forward in a match.
What About the Bottom?
A great team should also be capable of getting through the bottom lane although it is often best to use this after the top lane is under control. A team needs to have the top lane managed first simply to keep ambushes from occurring.
The bottom lane is often used for delivering large loads after a team has developed itself well enough. It is frequently used late in a match due to how many people aren’t as likely to move along on such a space.
The bottom lane can be used by anyone on the team. It can especially do well when captains are guarded by enough supports on each side. A team should not assume that a solid border on one side is always going to be protective though as there is always a real chance that some opponents might try and sneak around this end part of the field.
In addition, the bottom lane is often a bot lane where many bots can be found in a match. This could be a good spot for farming as a means of getting additional resources. For cases where the lane is for farming purposes, a team should not venture too far down the line unless the team is looking to get in contact with opposing heroes. It could still be a risky move provided that a team isn’t prepared enough and hasn’t grown its heroes to be strong to where they can actually fight without problems.
The bottom should still be used after the top lane is managed right. It is to allow the team to have a little more control at a certain time.
Mid-Laners Must Stay In Their Spot
While it is true that any team can be flexible enough to move from one lane to the next, it is essential for all those who are in the middle lane to stay within that lane at all times. This is one part of the map that works best when there isn’t much flexibility involved. This can certainly be tough at times but when used right should not be too difficult to manage.
People who are going to move through the middle lane must stick in that lane for as long as possible. They have to stay in that lane without possibly moving off too soon. This is to allow for a sense of focus and to target more enemies at a given time. This is also to establish a better sense of control through the entire map.
Can All Lanes Work At Once?
It is possible for people to work with all of the lanes on a LoL field at the same time. However, it would take quite a bit of effort to make all lanes work out properly. For a team to use all of the lanes in a spot, the team will have to build up enough assets and get all members to level up as well as possible.
No matter what might happen, a team would work better when at least two people are moving through a lane at a given time. This means that one lane would have to be targeted through a solo process. Still, those who are able to team up and work with particular lanes will ease will have a better shot at getting across a map and making it easier for all parts of a map to be truly dominated.
Checking Bot Lanes
Some lanes might be dominated by bots more than others. These include lanes where the bots in a spot are going to keep on charging their way along and will not stop all that easily.
It is a necessity when working on a defense plan to keep bot lanes under control. Any player who is trying to build up one’s level could benefit from getting into a bot lane provided that the player isn’t at risk of harm.
Can the Junglers Have Their Own Lanes?
Some teams like to use their own smaller lanes within the jungles on their maps. This might sound interesting but this is not always recommended as it can be tough for a team to stay mobile through such tight spots.
One good idea for a team to use is to find cuts through those lanes to make it easier for them to go from one main lane to the next. These cuts are designed to make such lanes a little easier to move through without being overly complicated or otherwise tough to manage.
The cuts that are to be used in between each lane should still be orchestrated with care and chosen properly without harm. The goal is to make sure that all cuts are chosen properly and aren’t going to be any harder to use than needed.
Managing the Dragon
The dragon can get into play on any route. The best LoL teams are always prepared to take on dragons and to stop them no matter where they are.
So, what does this have to do with lane control? When a dragon is confronted, it is clearly important for a team to defeat it. But after the dragon is stopped, it will help to get to a proper route at this next point. This especially comes as a team will have gotten a sizeable bonus for its effort in stopping the dragon.
The top lane is the best one for a team to get out onto. The top lane is especially worthwhile as a team will have gotten enough of a bonus off of killing off the dragon to where the players can actually last at a spot for a long time. If used right, it should be easier for a team to move along on this part of the map and keep on attacking.
Tanks don’t necessarily have to be used at this point although they could be applied in the area if desired. This leads into the last consideration to see with regards to managing the lanes in a match.
Where Does the Tank Go?
The tank will work best at the top lane. This strategy helps as a tank should be someone that can handle a large amount of damage. This is especially for when a team needs to get enough of a warning that someone is going to try and attack from the top lane.
The tank should try and stay around the top lane as well as possible. A great team to bet on is always one that uses a tank around this part of a match.
A tank does not necessarily need to be accompanied by anyone at a given time. It might not hurt for a team to have one support next door though just to offer some added help and defense. Of course, when a team is about to get to its final attack, that team can always move forward and get a few extra people down that lane.
Be certain when betting on League of Legends matches that you bet on teams that are choosing teams that are capable of handling the proper lanes in a match. It is always important to see that anyone who can handle the right lanes is chosen for a bet as it is often easier for teams that can control such lanes to be managed with ease.
