Kizumonogatari: Koyomi Vamp Anime Film Coming In January 2024

During the ongoing Aniplex Online Fest 2023 live stream event, Aniplex revealed that the Kizumonogatari anime series will be returning in the form of a new compilation anime movie. This upcoming movie will be titled Kizumonogatari: Koyomi Vamp.

The Kizumonogatari anime series was first released in a series of three consecutive films from 2016 to 2017. Kizumonogatari Part 1: Tekketsu was released in January 2016, followed by Part 2: Nekketsu which released in August 2016, and finally Part 3: Reiketsu which completed the trilogy in January 2017. 

Kizumonogatari Fans will now be able to enjoy another dose with the upcoming Kiyomi Vamp compilation film scheduled to premier early next year.

The Kizumonogatari Trilogy Returns in Kizumonogatari: Koyomi Vamp

The most recent Aniplex Online Fest 2023 live broadcast event revealed the January 12, 2024, release date for Kizumonogatari: Koyomi Vamp. With significant reedits, this new collection anime film combines all three of the earlier works. However, the details of these revisions and modifications were kept secret. Additionally, no English release date was disclosed. The most recent trailer offers viewers a sneak peek at the upcoming film.

The third book in NisiOisin’s wildly successful Monogatari book series is titled Kizumonogatari. As a prelude to Bakemonogatari, it is also. In the book, the main character Koyomi Araragi has a fatal encounter with Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade, a female vampire. After meeting her, the narrative describes his journey back to a regular life.

Tatsuya Oishi, the creator of the anime series Bakemonogatari, also oversaw the SHAFT animation studio’s film trilogy. According to the credits for the series, Akiyuki Simbo served as the principal director. The characters were also created by Hideyuki Morioka and Akio Watanabe. Satoru Kousaki wrote the music, and Yota Tsuruoka oversaw the sound design.

Aniplex also revealed at Aniplex Online Fest 2023 that Blue Exorcist will finally make a comeback with a new anime. Following the conclusion of Kyoto Saga, Blue Exorcist Shimane Illuminati Saga adapts volumes 10 through 15 of the manga. Anime fans can anticipate the debut of this new series in January 2024.

A trilogy of Japanese animation films called Kizumonogatari, Japanese word for “Wound Story” is produced by Shaft and directed by Akiyuki Shinbo and Tatsuya Oishi. Together, the movies are an adaptation of the 2008 light novel of the same name by Nisio Isin, which is the sequel to Bakemonogatari and the second installment in the Monogatari series.

In July 2010, it was revealed that Kizumonogatari would be adapted as an anime, and in March 2011, it was revealed that the adaptation will take the form of a movie. Three movies, Kizumonogatari I: Tekketsu-hen, Kizumonogatari II: Nekketsu-hen, and Kizumonogatari III: Reiketsu-hen, were revealed in October 2015. The cast and crew for Tekketsu were also revealed.
