GTA V Is Available On XBOX Game Pass: Steps, Tips, Guide, All Infos

1 years ago By AI Smith

Grand Theft Auto V has once again made its way onto Xbox Game Pass, just in time for summer vacation. This highly acclaimed open-world game is one of the highlights of the subscription service’s lineup for July 2023, alongside other exciting releases such as Exoprimal and indie titles like Sword and Fairy: Together Forever.

If you’re a Game Pass subscriber, you can enjoy GTA V on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Additionally, if you like playing games on the go, you may use touch controllers on mobile devices to stream the game via the cloud.

GTA V is currently unavailable for PC Game Pass subscribers, so they will have to wait. Despite the fact that the game is now accessible, its future availability on the service is now unknown. It was offered on Game Pass for a little under five months until it made its last appearance in 2022.

For Game Pass subscribers who haven’t yet experienced the exhilarating journeys of Michael, Trevor, and Franklin, this announcement couldn’t come at a better time. The best time to explore the world of GTA V is in July because it typically sees fewer major game launches.

Plus, you have more than a decade’s worth of stuff to catch up on in one of the most significant games of the previous decade, with Grand Theft Auto VI reportedly coming out as early as mid-2024.

What Will Be New To Xbox Game Pass In July?

Apart from GTA V and Sword and Fairy: Together Forever, there are six other games heading to Game Pass throughout the month of July, including expansions for popular titles like Sea of Thieves. Here’s a preview of what’s coming:

  • Sword and Fairy: Together Forever (Cloud, Console, and PC) – Launching on July 6, this Chinese-made role-playing game takes players on a captivating party-based adventure. Set in a world where three factions – Human, Deity, and Demon – vie for power, players will explore intriguing stories and rivalries. Originally released in 2021, this game offers an immersive experience and is also available on PlayStation 4 and PS5.
  • McPixel 3 (Cloud, Console, and PC) – Arriving on July 6, McPixel 3 continues the beloved puzzle/point-and-click adventure series. This direct successor to the original McPixel, released in 2012, promises mind-bending challenges and entertaining gameplay. Prepare to think outside the box as you navigate through a series of intricate puzzles.
  • Common’hood (Cloud, Console, and PC) – Available from July 11, Common’hood invites players into a settlement/base-builder simulation with survival elements. As squatters striving to survive, you’ll scavenge materials, cultivate crops, craft tools, and construct shelters for your community. Balancing limited resources and overcoming various challenges will be key to your success.
  • Insurgency: Sandstorm (PC) – Releasing on July 11, Insurgency: Sandstorm offers a tactical first-person shooter experience. Set in a contemporary conflict, this game combines intense co-op and PvP multiplayer modes. Engage in strategic battles, coordinate with your team, and immerse yourself in the gritty realism of modern warfare.
  • Techtonica (Game Preview, Cloud, Console, and PC) – Launching on July 18 as an early access title, Techtonica takes players on an interplanetary adventure. Delve beneath the surface of a distant planet, where you’ll uncover secrets and construct massive factories. Master automation, gather resources, and shape the environment as you establish your base of operations.

Which Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass In July?

It’s crucial to remember that some games will be leaving Game Pass this month even though exciting new games are coming. Up to July 15, you may get the following games for 20% discount:

  • Exo One (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • PAW Patrol The Movie: Adventure City Calls (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Spelunky 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
