GTA Online Updates on San Andreas Mercenaries: What to Expect? Key Features & More
Rockstar Games revealed that the major summer update for GTA Online will be released earlier than usual this year, which for some reason has led fans to believe that it’s because a GTA 6 reveal is coming. The reports suggest that on 13th June, the ‘San Andreas Mercenaries’ update will come out, and it’s set to be one of the biggest updates to GTA Online to come out in recent years.
In promotional images for the San Andreas Mercenaries update, the franchise has unveiled an action-packed thriller series, in which players join forces with ‘a renegade team’ to wage war against Merryweather and assorted other adversaries.
What’s in the San Andreas Mercenaries update?
The San Andreas Mercenaries update for GTA Online, set to release on June 13, is shaping up to be something special for those still playing. Despite launching a decade ago, GTA Online is still a source of revenue for Rockstar Games, and it’s still hugely popular today.
In this update, players can start events on the Mammoth Avenger, which has been converted into an air command center. There will be all-new missions to take on as players “take flight alongside a team of elite operators and ex-military personnel to battle the monolithic forces of San Andreas’ largest private army.”
A new rapid-fire tactical SMG is coming to GTA Online, as well as several quality-of-life changes and improvements, some of which should have been introduced years ago.
For example, players will finally have the ability to use a ‘hold to sprint’ option that will avoid the need to furiously press a button to increase speed on foot. They will also be able to claim all destroyed Mors Mutual vehicles in a single sweep. Custom tagging options for owned vehicles will be introduced, more cars will be eligible for ‘Taxi Job’ missions, and in Creator mode, more accessories and weather features will be added.
The fans will witness much more on the way, with Red Dead Online Games promising that “many experience improvements inspired by direct feedback from the community” are coming. However, there will be much more in the San Andreas Mercenaries update – we will know more in the coming days.
