Group Blue of The CWL Global Pro League Preview

Vedran Ostojic | April 29, 2017 | Call Of Duty | No Comments
CWL Global Pro

After the matches of the Group Red finished last week, matches from Group Blue will be next to be played. If Group Red is an indication of what we can expect from this Global Pro League, then it will be a very interesting season and the differences between teams will be very small and placements in the groups might be the closest that we have seen in a long time. The Group Blue will be very interesting, and with this piece, we are bringing you the preview of what you might expect from the matches in Group Blue.

FaZe Clan

FaZe Clan will be the biggest favorite for finishing in the top place in this group, and there is hardly any scenario that can prevent them from achieving that. Looking at the results that they had this season, it seems that FaZe Clan has been the most consistent teams. This season, they competed at four Major tournaments and at each tournament they were defeated by the team that eventually played in the grand finals. However, since the end of CWL Vegas major, there are only two teams that managed to defeat Faze Clan, and those two teams are eUnited and OpTic Gaming. At these tournaments, FaZe Clan managed to finish the each group stage in the first place which speaks enough about the quality that they possess.

Many commentators and analysts agree that if FaZe Clan does not finish in the first place at the end of the competition in Group Blue that would be one epic surprise. Out of all teams in Group Blue, FaZe Clan has shown the most this season, and all other teams will have serious problems when playing against them.

Rise Nation

With FaZe Clan being the clear favorite for the first place, the battle for the second place will be very tough. All other teams seem to be very close, and it might even happen that the decision on placement from the second to the fourth place comes down to the number of maps that the teams won. Looking at the results, all the remaining three teams are very close, but Rise Nation has been a bit better than the remaining two teams. Even though they seem to be in not that good form, but it still expected that they will be able to overcome their problems and to finish in the second place.

Fnatic

However, finishing in the second place will not be an easy job for Rise Nation. They will be seriously challenged by the other two teams, especially by team Fnatic. Even though many may think that Fnatic does not have a lot of chances for a good result, they were able to surprise at previous tournaments. At the tournament in Paris, Fnatic finished the group stage in the first place with three wins and no defeats while at the previous tournament, CWL Birmingham they finished the group stage in third place. Because of that, there are possibilities that they might actually be a serious challenger for the second place in Group Blue.

Evil Geniuses

Looking at the teams in Group Blue many will agree that Evil Geniuses seem to be the only team that has no chances for anything significant at this point. Because of that, we believe that they will finish in the fourth place. Even though they had some big wins recently, such as against Rise Nation, Enigma6, and Millennium, it does not seem that Evil Geniuses will be able to pull similar performances in Group Blue.
