In this new season, an unknown pandemic ravages the city as the team explores the future of vaccines, bitcoin, cancel culture, and streaming TV. Futurama, which premiered in 1999, was not long in success and gained an army of loyal fans as well as winning excellent awards such as two Emmy Awards for Best Animated Program.
Despite being set in the distant future, the animated series is famous for its satirical commentary on the present day. The series tells the story of Phillip J. Fry (Billy West), a New York pizza delivery man, who accidentally freezes in 1999 and thaws in the year 3000. Over the years it has had several sequels and comebacks that have continued the story.
