BGMI vs Free Fire amounts is an ongoing debate with both games defended by passionate fans. Both the battle royale titles have unique features and are a part of the same genre. Let’s have a comparison of BGMI vs Free Fire in terms of the gameplay, related features, graphics, and system requirements. 

BGMI vs Free Fire major differences

Characters

BGMI is more grounded in realism. However, it has occasional events like Pharaoh Rising and Runic Power, that add a mythical vibe to the game temporarily. The characters in BGMI characters are like cookie-cutter characters who can be enhance with cosmetics. 

BGMI’s design is minimalist, and has a more of a real world feel with cosmetics taking inspiration from other media.

On the other hand, Free Fire characters possess special abilities that let you give you and your team buffs or the enemy debuffs. As an example, Kelly’s special ability lets you move faster as Alok deploys his AOE healing aura. These elements add a layer of complexity to the gameplay. Free Fire characters can be unlocked through diamonds. They draw inspiration from sci-fi, animation and fantasy.

Gameplay

Gunplay wise both the games feature a standard variety of weapon types such as assault rifles, snipers, SMGs and more. However, Free Fire has certain off-beat weapons such as the Shield Gun and Treatment Laser Gun.  

Coming to the battle royale aspect, BGMI lobbies include of 100 players while Free Fire MAX starts off with 50 players allowing you to have up to 60 in custom games. The maps in BGMI are also larger. Additionally, due to a larger number of players, the matches last longer in BGMI. 

Free Fire has three main maps Bermuda, Kalahari, and Purgatory. 

Graphics and Requirements

As mentioned earlier, BGMI has a more realistic feel to it against Free Fire. Free Fire features an anime and cartoon-inspired style, characters, and pets. BGMI’s cosmetics are also inspired from anime, fantasy, and more, their characters still look realistic. Here’s a detailed comparison of BGMI and Free Fire graphic requirements:
