Eiichiro Oda x One Piece Prequel Anime: Release Date, Spoilers, Characters Name And More

1 years ago By AI Smith

Monsters, the manga that Eiichiro Oda wrote before One Piece and that is related to Zoro, has an anime underway at the gates of the premiere of Luffy’s live-action on Netflix.

The series is about to face its greatest challenge: to succeed in the live-action arena on Western television. Eiichiro Oda, the creator of the fiction that has the Straw Hats as protagonists. He has defended the series tooth and nail on two different occasions, also guaranteeing that he has supervised the project from top to bottom so that both the manga and the anime have been adapted in the best possible way to the real action.

During One Piece Day, it was also confirmed that a Monsters anime was already underway, a work considered to be the official prequel to One Piece. Since its main character is none other than Shimotsuki Ryuma. A legendary Wano samurai who saw them with Zoro.

Monsters, the One Piece prequel, has its anime underway and Eiichiro Oda is preparing to release his live-action on Netflix.

Before One Piece, Eiichiro Oda wrote a series of self-contained stories that, for many, are completely unknown, since his great work is the one headed by Monkey D. Luffy. In Monsters, considered a prequel due to the connection that the protagonist has with the aforementioned Zoro, it is Ryuma; “a samurai who arrives in the city without money. A waitress from the restaurant Gèrard named Flare saves him by giving him food. And when he is arguing with the young woman about how he could pay her such a debt. A sword sheath touches Ryuma and he takes it as a duel.

After Flare stops the fight, Ryuma discovers that the past of his rival and the waitress who saved him are connected by an attack by a mysterious dragon.” If you are interested in learning a little more about this story, before the anime, you can read it in the ‘Wanted!’ compilation, which brings together some of Oda’s manga before One Piece.

Release Date And Time

The next big step in this incredible adventure, as we said, is the live-action that Netflix has prepared for next August 31. Oda reassured fans of the manga and anime, stating that she was present during the development process of the project, supervising all the sequences: ” There were aspects that had to be changed to avoid things looking too unnatural in live action.”, it said. “Even after filming ended, there were numerous scenes that the production agreed to reshoot because I felt they weren’t good enough to go out into the world. There were also some lines that I thought were not like Luffy in the role, but when I saw the scenes filmed, I said ‘It works when it’s Iñaki playing Luffy! It works very well!”
