Divisions Feature to Replace Create-A-Class in Call of Duty WWII

Ivan Potocki | June 24, 2017 | Call Of Duty | No Comments

The release date of the next installment of Call of Duty franchise, the World War II edition, is getting nearer. With each day passing by, we are getting more and more information about the new title and the features it will include. A long time ago, game’s developers,The Sledgehammer , said that this edition of the game will be returning to its roots, meaning the action will take place during the World War II.

Call of Duty Infinite Warfare has been one of the most popular games in the world for many years. Hence, the new installment will have big shoes to fill. One of the most popular features of Infinite Warfare over all these years has been Create-A-Class.

Out with the Old

A couple of days ago, Michael Condrey, while speaking at the Playstation’s question and answer session, revealed that the fan-favorite Create-A-Class will not be featured in the next installment of the game. Instead, Condrey announced that WWII would be introducing a feature called Divisions that will be replacing Create-A-Class.

The CoD WWII will end the long tradition of incorporating the Create-A-Class into the game. It all started with the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare that was released back in 2007. This feature enabled players to customize almost all aspects of the game. With Create-A-Class, players had options for choosing between different types of guns, equipment, attachments, and almost all other aspects of the game.

This option has provided players with the opportunity to build up their style of play almost from scratch. But, with WWII that option will no longer be available as it will be replaced by a new feature called Divisions.

In with the new

According to Condrey, Divisions will be a multiplayer feature that will give players a chance to redefine their soldier’s career. With the new feature, players will have an opportunity to choose between five legendary WWII divisions that will have basic weapon skills and combat training. Since there are five divisions, there will be five different characters that players will be able to choose. This is significantly different from Create-A-Class that enabled players to create everything.

Divisions will make a huge impact on how players perceive the multiplayer mode of the new game. However, we need to wait until the release of the new game before making any judgments about this feature and the game in general.

The feedback from the players has not been good, but this was to be expected given Create-A-Class has been so popular among the players. Besides that, the lack of information about the new feature has also been one of the biggest reasons why players haven’t been particularly delighted about the prospect of Divisions.

Call of Duty: World War II will definitely be a success when it comes to this franchise, there is hardly any doubt about that. However, it seems it will take some time for players to get to know the new feature and what it brings to the game.

The new installment of the Call of Duty franchise will be released on November 3rd, 2017. Until then, all we can do is wait for more information that might be released before that date.
