Diablo 4: Elon Musk Shows Off His Character, Named As “IWillNeverDie”

11 months ago By AI Smith

Twitter And Tesla’s owner Elon Musk is on everyone’s lips nowadays. Although this is a phrase that we could use from time to time and it would not get old, the truth is that the idea of changing the Twitter logo from a little blue bird in the sea of monkeys to an X, with the connotation that this has, the South African is something to talk about even in terms of video games. His gamer facet has also crept in and it is that while Twitter is changing, he spends his time playing Diablo IV to the point that Blizzard has echoed his character.

That Musk is a fan of video games does not surprise us. We already knew his love for games like BioShock or Mass Effect 2, and with what Blizzard’s RPG has caused to speak, it was not surprising that the owner of Twitter gave him a try with a character called ” IWillNeverDie “. The name, how could it be otherwise, is a faithful reflection of the personality of the person who gave it life.

The moment when he “discovered” his addiction to Diablo IV is just as bizarre, as he is. During a podcast on Twitter with user Greg, the manager confirmed Twitter’s name change as he played the Blizzard title with no concern other than taking his character to the highest level. A moment that ended with Musk himself commenting that, indeed, “IWillNeverDie” had just started playing the RPG.

This level 30 druid, saturated with jewels and with an imposing appearance, has even caught the attention of Mike Ybarra, president of Blizzard, who doubts the reliability of his name. It’s not that he doesn’t trust Musk, at least he doesn’t openly comment on it, but the manager has had no problem summoning the CEO of Twitter to comment on how many times he has actually died.

A joke that does not seek to go further where Ybarra has commented that he will investigate whether Musk has already died in the game and what difficulty he is playing on, all for the sake of honouring, or not, his name. Even with everything, this innocent mention has only sparked a war highlighting not only the latest patch of the game but the possibility of Elon buying Blizzard. There is never a rest in this social network.

Diablo 4 seasons start with controversy

Since the announcement of this first season of Diablo IV, there have been some critical voices with the need to create a new character to enjoy Season 1; something that on the other hand has been a constant in this kind of game even in the days of the memorable Diablo 2 with the “Ladders”. Given this scenario, Blizzard has already dropped that there could be changes later, emulating the reborn mechanics of Diablo III.

Last Thursday, July 20, the first season of Diablo 4 began with new challenges and rewards to continue enjoying the brutal RPG action of this PC and console title that has become one of the most successful so far this year.

Diablo IV Success

As reported by Blizzard in a press release last Month in June, Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo IV has surpassed the barrier of $666 million in the initial five days of launch. These incomes have also been thanks to microtransactions, which have been the subject of controversy since some cosmetics cost up to €25 in Diablo 4.

The company has also shared other statistics that show the great reception of the game. In this way, 276 million hours have been exceeded and players have killed 276,000 million demons. However, users have also died 316 million times. The true heroes of the community have been the 163 people who have reached the maximum level in Hardcore Mode, that is, permanent death where you lose all your character, time and objects.
