Diablo 4 breaks multiple records, surpasses $666 million in just 5 days of launching
We are facing a historic moment for a company that has offered us an incredible game that will be with us for years. Diablo 4 is enchanting the community, even since Blizzard is already preparing two expansions for Diablo 4. However, from California, they are very happy with all the money that the title has generated.
As reported by Blizzard in a press release, Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo IV has surpassed the barrier of $666 million in the five days of launch. These incomes have also been thanks to microtransactions, which have been the subject of controversy since some cosmetics cost up to 25 euros in Diablo 4.
Diablo’s general manager, Rod Fergusson and a senior vice president at Blizzard Entertainment credited the initial success to Dibalo IV’s willingness to work across platforms while embracing different characteristics of the game in today’s gaming mode and the older features of the franchise.
“We were trying to reach the younger audience,” the 55-year-old insisted in an interview. The franchise was less worried about getting older fans who were used to the earlier Diablo games to purchase the latest installment, he said. “If you’re paying attention, you can see it in our marketing,” VC added.

The company has also shared other statistics that show the great reception of the game. In this way, 276 million hours have been exceeded and players have killed 276,000 million demons. However, users have also died 316 million times. The true heroes of the community have been the 163 people who have reached the maximum level in Hardcore Mode, that is, permanent death where you lose all your character, time and objects.
Diablo IV is the fastest-selling game in Blizzard’s history
The previous record we reported is Diablo 4 being the fastest-selling game in Blizzard history. The most remarkable thing is that the game had not yet been released on the market since it was in the Early Access period. We do not have data on copies sold, but we can already imagine that there have been millions and millions.
