Chainsaw Man’s Journey in India

Chainsaw Man first made its debut in India on Ani-One Asia’s YouTube channel on October 18. The anime’s popularity soared, leading Netflix to begin streaming the series in India on February 1. Fans were thrilled to have access to both the Japanese audio and the English dub on Crunchyroll from February onwards.

Behind the Scenes

The anime’s captivating direction was led by Ryū Nakayama (known for Black Clover and Jujutsu Kaisen episodes), while the talented Hiroshi Seko (famous for works like Ajin and Attack on Titan: The Final Season) penned the scripts. The characters were brought to life by Kazutaka Sugiyama (from Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation), and the action sequences were masterfully directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara (renowned for works like Black Clover and Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls). Chief technical director Makoto Nakazono (DARLING in the FRANXX, Little Witch Academia) ensured a seamless viewing experience. The devil designs were crafted by Kiyotaka Oshiyama (known for DEVILMAN crybaby and Space Dandy), while the art direction was in the hands of Yūsuke Takeda (renowned for works like Eden of the East and Vinland Saga). Naomi Nakano served as the color key artist, and Yohei Miyahara designed the screens. The evocative music that complements the series was composed by Kensuke Ushio (famous for works like DEVILMAN Crybaby, Liz and the Blue Bird, and A Silent Voice).

The Manga’s Journey

Tatsuki Fujimoto, the creative mind behind “Fire Punch,” introduced the world to the gripping universe of Chainsaw Man in Weekly Shonen Jump back in December 2018. After a successful run, the “first part” of the manga, the “Kōan” (Public Safety) arc, concluded in December 2020. However, fans were delighted when the manga’s second part, titled “Gakkō-hen” (School Arc), began serializing on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ service in July 2022.

How to Watch

With the Hindi dub now available on Crunchyroll, fans can join Denji and the gang on their adrenaline-pumping adventures. If you haven’t experienced Chainsaw Man yet, now is the perfect time to dive into this action-packed series.
