BGIS Series 2023: How To Join, Prize Pool, Schedule, Date & More
Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) recently announced the Battleground India Series (BGIS) 2023. The event has a massive ₹2 Crore prize pool the developer revealed. BGIS has been a highly anticipated event in the Indian gaming circuit, especially among the BGMI fans. At this tournament, underdogs fight it out with the best teams from all across India. This is going to be the first major official event by Krafton post the ban.
BGIS 2023 Date
BGMI also disclosed the dates for BGIS 2023 The Grind. It will begin on July 20, 2023. The Grind is an official scrimmage session that will be hosted before the official start of the Battlegrounds India Series, which is an invitational series with a massive prize pool. The teams invited for this series are divided into several groups, which then fight for that prize pool. In other words, BGIS 2023 The Grind will set the stage for the BGIS 2023 Major Event.
BGIS 2023 How To Join?
As per reports, this time around the series will be open for underdog teams who performed well in the BGIS 2021, along with BGMI Tier 1 teams. The underdog teams will be the teams that performed well and reached rounds 2, 3, and 4 in the previous seasons will also be invited to The Grind.
If you had registered for the BGIS 2021 event, you can check your emails to see if they got an invite or not. Remember that only registered email IDs will get the invite mail.

All players have to do is visit the website and register their 4-5-man squad for the BGIS 2023.
BGIS 2023 Prize pool
BGIS 2023 will have a doubled prize pool than that of BGIS 2021. This years BGIS 2023 will have a prize pool of ₹2 Crore.
Although the exact format of BGIS 2023 has not been revealed yet, players can expect that the last time’s format may be repeated.

- In-game Qualifiers – Top 1024 teams go to the online qualifiers.
- Online Qualifiers – 1024 Teams
- Quarter-Finals – 64 Teams
- Semi-Finals – 24 teams
- Grand Finals – 16 Teams
The first season of BGIS was a massive success. BGIS Season 1 gave India a spot in the PUBG Mobile Global Championship in 2021. With BGIS 2023, there are chances that India will win a spot in PMGC 2023 this year too. This is because there are three special invites available in this year’s edition. Besides the PUBG English casters are also considering reserving a PMGC slot for India in the PMWI 2023 competition.
