BanG Dream X Chainsaw Man Collaboration: New Card Arts and Exciting Features

1 years ago By AI Smith

BanG Dream, the popular idol rhythm mobile game, is teaming up with the hit manga and anime series Chainsaw Man for an exciting collaboration. The collaboration is set to debut on June 30, but currently, it is available only on the JP version of the game. Fans are eagerly waiting for the EN version to also receive this fantastic event.

Unexpected Yet Impressive Collaboration

BanG Dream and Chainsaw Man might seem like an unexpected pairing at first glance, considering their distinct themes. While BanG Dream revolves around idol groups and music, Chainsaw Man is known for its thrilling and dark storyline. However, the collaboration promises to be a treat for fans as popular BanG Dream characters will be transformed into Chainsaw Man characters, making for some incredible card art.

The collaboration will introduce special cards featuring BanG Dream characters styled after Chainsaw Man characters. The units include:

  1. Ran from Afterglow, styled after Denji (limited Gacha)
  2. Sayo from Roselia, styled after Makima (limited Gacha)
  3. Toko from Morfonica, styled after Power (limited Gacha)
  4. Rui from Morfonica, styled after Aki (Event reward)
  5. Rimi from Poppin Party, styled after Kobeni (Event reward)

No Gacha for Character Cards

Unlike the usual gacha-based system in BanG Dream, the official Twitter page confirmed that the character cards for this collaboration will not be part of the gacha banner. While further details are still scarce, it is speculated that players will obtain these cards through event rewards. This move is surprising as high-caliber collaborations often generate substantial revenue through gacha pulls.

New Music and Songs from Chainsaw Man

Fans are also curious whether this collaboration will bring new music to BanG Dream. The possibility of featuring the popular opening theme “Kick Back” by Kenshi Yonezu, from the Chainsaw Man anime, is exciting. Given the music-focused nature of BanG Dream, integrating Chainsaw Man songs seems like a perfect fit.

The BanG Dream X Chainsaw Man collaboration promises to be an exciting crossover, bringing together the worlds of idols and dark fantasy. The impressive card arts and the opportunity to collect favorite characters in unique forms will undoubtedly delight fans. While currently only available in the JP version, we hope to see this collaboration make its way to the global servers soon. Until then, players can look forward to experiencing this thrilling event, starting June 30. Stay tuned for more updates and enjoy the rhythm game-meets-shonen adventure in BanG Dream!
