Baldur’s Gate 3 Becomes The Highest Rated Game In PC History On Metacritic

In recent times, while we have seen some of the most successful game releases, we have also seen several disappointing game releases from top gaming companies. This is particularly true in terms of PC games.

Some of these games have had gameplay issues, while others failed in terms of design issues. Many of them also faed optimization issues, whereas there have been other games that have performed poorly on PCs when released. The reason for this is because their PC adapts have not been that great.

Therefore, PC gamers have been looking for a game that does not disappoint them. And it looks like Baldur’s Gate 3 not only fits into that, but also manages to set a new standard for other games.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is a basically RPG that was first released on August 3rd.  The game has been developed by Belgian game developer Larian Studios. The developer best known for some of the other well known games like the Divinity series.

TechSpot had reported that Baldur’s Gate 3 has gone to be the top-rated PC game of all time on rital platform Metacritic with a Metascore of 97 (out of 100). And there’s a good reason for that too. A look at all the reviews on Baldur’s Gate 3 critic review page will tell you there is nothing but praise for the game. 

On Metacritic, Baldur’s Gate 3 was ranked above great games suh as Half-Life 2 (96 score), Grand Theft Auto V (96), original Half-Life (96), Portal 2 (95) and others.

If that’s not enough then a simple look at OpenCritic will tell you. OpenCritic rates it the best game ever across all the platforms. That itself speaks a lot. Notably on OpenCritic too, the game ranked above games like Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda games, Red Dead Redemption 2 among others.

Additionally, as far as the performance of the game is concerned, its basic requirements are modest as long as modern standards are concerned. Another rating site, TechPowerUP posted a great review to review its performance. According to the review the game seems to performed quite nicely, unlike some other games in recent times.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Is The Top Played Game On Steam

Besides all the positive reviews, according to the official Steam Charts, Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently the second most played game on Steam. It has lose to almost 900 thousand players.

Besides, third-party site SteamCharts.com tells that it is currently seventh on the list in terms of the highest number of players on Steam. The game enjoys a 94% rating on user reviews on Steam itself, with many of the reviews praising the game’s lack of microtransactions, game design and gameplay.

In addition to this, the game has no DRM, which means that Baldur’s Gate 3 is not only available on Steam but also on GOG too. At a time when turn-based RPGs may not be of interest to everyone, players who enjoy such games must definitely try Baldur’s Gate 3. It’s a good game, going by the ratings and reviews all over the internet.
