All Details About Hotfixes In World Of Warcraft
World of Warcraft recently launched a long list of bug fixes and updates, or hotfixes as the developers call it. The hotfixes dated 13th September bring some singnicant fixes, which the community can rejoice about.
This page contains a list of World of Warcraft hotfixes for the following games: Dragonflight, Wrath of the Lich King Classic, Burning Crusade Classic, and WoW Classic. Some of the hotfixes listed below go into effect right away, while others could need scheduled realm restarts to take effect. Please remember that some problems can only be fixed by a client-side patch update. As new hotfixes are applied, this list will be updated.
World Of Warcraft HOTFIXES
Dragon racing
Gold and Silver times for the Flashfrost Flyover Reverse Challenge race have been modified. These were unintentionally set too high.
Engineering
Engineers can now acquire Sprocket Containers from Hobart Grapplehammer in Legion Dalaran for 50 Leystone and 10 Felslate each.
Rewards
Fixed an issue that resulted in Zaqali Elders’ treasure dropping at a lower item level than intended.
WoW Classic Era
- When realms are restarted an issue impacting the bonus Honor granted for Alterac Valley has been fixed.
- The gold reward for finishing “Fish in a Bucket” has been removed.
- Developer notes: The original quest offered an uncontested, single-faction, indefinitely repeated, low risk gold return that did not fit with the rest of the game’s design. This update was first applied in patch 2.0.10 and works well in Classic Era/Hardcore.
Player versus Player
Sarannis’ Mystic Sheen effectiveness reduced by 70% in PvP.
Secrets of Azeroth
- You should now receive the task “A Complete Inventory” from Fangli Hoot on the secret day beginning with “They Are Always Listening” if you did not already receive it by looking into all 6 notes.
- Some of the quests have been updated to fix problems where players might not have gotten a hint since secrets had been begun on various characters.
WoW Classic Era and Hardcore
A problem where some hunter pets could be dismissed and attack adjacent players was fixed in WoW Classic Era and Hardcore.
Achievements
Fixed an issue that was preventing players from being properly granted the baseline Challenger, Rival, and Duelist
WoW Classic
- An issue that prohibited Tyrion, an NPC, from reverting to a quest-giver after completing “The Attack!” has been fixed.
- Hardcore Realms
- Dun Modr’s civilian dwarf NPCs should no longer be able to flag players for PvP due to their use of coarse dynamite.
- Developers’ notes: There was essentially no possibility that you would be hit by these particular NPCs and flagged by them. However, we do not aim to change how enemy faction guards generally act in Hardcore. Players should stay away from enemy faction towns and quests marked as “PvP” in the quest log if they don’t want their character to be flagged for PvP.
Dragonriding
The Loamm Roamm Reverse Challenge silver medal should again be rewarded correctly.
Quests
- The “No Limits” questline, which explores Eternus’s past, is now available from Chromie without the need to complete the Dawn of the Infinites dungeon.
- Maiev Shadowsong should no longer point at unseen Felflame Braziers when “Stepping into the Shadows.”
- In the quest “Not Today, Fate,” Moraidormi will no longer vanish and Nozdormu will enter stealth more correctly.
- Demon Hunters can now return to The Fel Hammer and carry on with their Order Hall quest even though they were previously unable to engage with the Control Console.
- Players who have reached level 60 can once more access “The Legend of Mechagon” and can see Tinkmaster Overspark.
WoW Classic Era
- Weekly PvP contribution calculations now only give up to the amount of contribution points needed to reach the next Rank threshold for each player-character’s current Rank.
- Note from the developers: In higher ranks, players have been purposefully obtaining dishonorable kills to bring themselves below the rank threshold of their current rank in order to receive credit for an additional Rank, allowing them to advance more quickly than a player who is just above that next Rank threshold. Now, you must first earn enough money to catch up to your starting Rank. It should no longer be advantageous to reduce one’s rank through dishonorable kills in order to advance more quickly.
- resolved a problem that resulted in the honor reward for completed tasks in Alterac Valley to be intentionally dounled
Classes
- Evoker
- Preservation
- Rescue will no longer cause Verdant Embrace to be placed on cooldown if used while Flow State is active.
Items
The Whirring Chainblade now has its appropriate minimum level required.
Engineering
Fixed a bug that caused Chromatically Calibrated engineering goggles to require level 58 to transmogrify.
Quests
The Legend of Mechagon can now be properly completed by all characters.
WoW Classic Hardcore
- The String of Ears buff earned for Mak’gora kills now persists through death.
- Developers’ notes: This will allow the new Classic API to report the correct Mak’gora kill count for deceased characters.
Events
- Secrets of Azeroth
- Fixed an issue that was causing the quest “Using the Idol” to not show up after you completed “An Idol in Hand.”
Quests
Fixed an issue where credit was not being assigned correctly for the final objective in “Urgent Exfiltration.”
