League Of Legends 13.15 Patch Notes August 2023: News Skins, Key Changes, Quests And More
League of Legends (LoL) has once again undergone a major update with Patch 13.15 in August 2023. This patch brings a plethora of changes, including champion adjustments, item and rune updates, jungle tweaks, ARAM adjustments, and new skins.
With six champions receiving nerfs and seven champions benefiting from buffs, the competitive landscape is sure to see some shifts. Additionally, four champions have undergone adjustments to enhance their gameplay experience. In this article, we will dive into the key changes and exciting additions introduced in LoL Patch 13.15.
Champion Balances:
The LoL development team continues to fine-tune the champion balance in Patch 13.15 to ensure fair and engaging gameplay. Six champions have been targeted for nerfs, with Aatrox, Ivern, Kai’sa, Maokai, Sejuani, and Shyvana receiving adjustments to reduce their dominance in certain areas. On the other hand, champions like Caitlyn, Camille, Gwen, Nami, Taliyah, Yasuo, and Yone are set to receive buffs to enhance their performance on the Rift.
Champion Adjustments:
One of the most notable adjustments comes to Rell, the tank support. Her passive ability, “Break the Mold,” now applies damage first before the passive effect. Furthermore, her “Shattering Strike” (Q) maintains the absolute direction after flashing, providing a more intuitive experience for players. Additionally, Rell’s “Ferromancy: Mount Up” (W) gets a quality-of-life improvement, increasing the dash speed before flipping her target. Furthermore, a bug causing her W ability not to apply bonus damage to Epic monsters has been fixed.
New Soul Fighter Skins and Quests:
As with each patch, new skins are introduced to the game. The League of Legends 13.15 Patch brings the Soul Fighter skin line to the forefront. Players can expect six new Soul Fighter skins, featuring champions like Evelynn, Gwen, Jhin, Shaco, and Viego. Notably, the Prestige edition of the Soul Fighter Shaco skin is also available, offering a prestigious aesthetic for those who complete specific in-game challenges.
Additionally, the patch introduces new quests for players to engage with. These quests provide an opportunity to further immerse oneself in the world of Runeterra, complete challenges, and earn rewards.
Item and Rune Changes:
Patch 13.15 brings some adjustments to items and runes to improve overall gameplay balance. The Night Harvester’s activation condition now requires damaging an enemy champion with an attack, ability, or pet damage, eliminating its previous interaction with other items. Glacial Augment has been tweaked, with changes to its Icy Zone slow, providing a fresh approach to using this rune effectively.
Jungle Updates:
The Smite spell has received changes in this patch, reducing its damage to non-lane minions while introducing a new slow effect for two seconds on its second upgrade to Primal Smite. This change aims to balance jungle gameplay and prevent unintended damage to other types of minions.
ARAM Balancing:
The ARAM game mode also receives some balance adjustments. Hecarim, Darius, Lucian, Amumu, Corki, and Pantheon see buffs to their damage or healing potential, while Lissandra, Aatrox, Singed, Teemo, Zyra, Nasus, Lillia, Swain, and Pyke experience nerfs to balance their presence in this game mode.
League of Legends Patch 13.15 brings a wide range of changes, adjustments, and new content to enhance the gaming experience for players. With champion buffs and nerfs, item and rune tweaks, and ARAM balancing, the meta is likely to see shifts, creating exciting opportunities for players to explore fresh strategies and tactics.
The arrival of the second half of Soul Fighter champions and their stunning new skins further add to the excitement and allure of the game. As players dive into the updated Patch 13.15, the competitive landscape is sure to be electrifying, with every champion, item, and rune choice making a significant impact on the Rift.
