Call of Duty is known for including real life characters and celebrities in the game. In the past the game had other celebrities including Lionel Messi, Kevin Durant and Snoop Dogg appear as playable characters in the game.
Will Nicki Minaj In Call Of Duty Be A Playable Character?
Call of Duty Season 5 is all set to feature pop singer Nicki Minaj as the first ever female celebrity playable character as announced by developer Activision. She will appear in the Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 format of the gam as part of CoD’s “50 Years of Hip Hop Celebration.” This special celebration will also feature pop celebrities like Snoop Dogg and 21 Savage.
Minaj, will be “Call of Duty’s first-ever self-named female Operator,” the developers said. The developers also further said, “Playtime is over; this is not ‘Chill Nicki’; this is Red Ruby Da Sleeze” making reference to Minaj’s track and video released earlier this year.
The female pop star will appear to have her own storefront in the later stages of Season 5. The items for sale could likely include the hot pink rifle for Minaj’s character. Her appearance in the game was previewed last year in a YouTube video called Squad Up. This YouTube video also featured Lil Baby, Bukayo Saka, and Pete Davidson. However, there is no confirmation yet if those people will also appear in CoD at some point.
The official Season 5 website also shows information regarding the 9mm ISO submachine, the AN-94 assault rifle and other weapons. Previously, Call of Duty also previewed multiplayer additions such as the new maps for Livestock and Petrov Oil Rig.
Similarly, Warzone 2.0 will have new locations such as Verdansk Stadium added to the game. Call of Duty Season 5 will also include the reveal of the newest Call of Duty 2023 (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3) — in Warzone. Season 5 which is also known as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone will be launched by Activision on August 2 at 9 AM PT across all gaming platforms.
