Looks like the frenzy over Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is not going anywhere yet. Blink Entertainment has given players even more reason to love the tactical shooter game with its CS:GO Pro League Season 1 which boasts of an exciting ₹1,00,000 prize pool. Registrations for the league has already wrapped up, with the online qualifiers already completed. Here’s all you need to know about CS:GO Pro League Season 1.

Online Qualifiers – 28th to 31st August
During the Online Qualifiers, matches will take place in a single elimination format. This means that teams will be getting only one shot to make it to the playoffs.
Playoffs – 2nd to 7th September
For the teams that qualify to the Playoffs, the competition is only going to get tougher. Be prepared to beat your opponents and make it to the Finals. So far, eight teams have made it to the Playoffs.
Update: Playoffs Group Stage Day 2 Recap
Four teams battled it out on the esports arena on the first day of the tournament. The matches were Fired Up Gaming vs. Original Gangsters and ROG Academy vs. L.O.T Gaming.
The first team to take the win was Original Gangsters as they annihilated Fired Up Gaming with a gut-punching 16-1 score. Next to take the top spot was ROG Academy who overtook L.O.T Gaming on the Overpass to claim their victory.
The second day of the group stage was as eventful as the previous one. Teams Marcos vs Random 5 and Gods Reign vs. Wasted Potential went head to head on day 2.
The battle between Marcos vs Random 5 on Inferno was an intense one with Marcos taking an early lead as Counter Terrorists (CT) and ended halftime with an 11-4 on the scoreboard. The second half sealed the victory for Marcos as they kept up their momentum and bagged their way to the finals with a 16-8 lead.
Gods Reign vs Wasted Potential resulted in an engrossing battle on Inferno with Gods Reign starting as CT. Quickly getting wins round after round, it almost looked like an easy victory for the team. However, Wasted Potential doubled down on their game and brought the halftime score to a close 9-6. Despite their talented efforts, Wasted Potential could not keep up and were brought to their knees by Gods Reign on the second half with a 16-8 score.
Finals – 10th September
If you’ve made it to the Finals, get ready because you’ll now be playing against the best of the best. Play it right and you’ll taste victory along with the biggest portion of the ₹1 Lakh prize pool. Not only that but for teams qualifying in the top four spots of the Finals will also qualify them for the CS:GO Pro League Season 2 which will take place on LAN.
However, even if your team doesn’t make it to the top 4, don’t worry! Blink Entertainment’s Challenger Series which takes place on November 2023, is another opportunity for your team to win your place on the top.
