Football legend David Beckham, is the co-owner of British esports organization Guild Esports post its launch in 2020. The esports organization has become one of the most well-known esports organizations within the UK esports scene. They have established partnerships with the likes of Sky, Subway and Hyper X among others. Guild has rosters in esports games like VALORANT, FIFA, VALORANT, CS:GO and Rocket League. It also has its own esports academy and high-end HQ.
Virgil Van Dijk
Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk is a shareholder of British esports organisation Tundra. The announcement was made in August 2022. Van Dijk wished to support and develop Tundra’s business goals. Tundra was a big name in the FIFA scene before it expanding into titles like Rocket League, Fortnite and Dota 2. Dota 2’s The International, hosted by Tundra is one of the biggest esports tournaments in the world.
Gerard Piqué
Retired former Barcelona player Gerard Piqué collaborated with famous Spanish streamer Ibai to launch KOI in 2021. The organization initially started a Spanish regional League of Legends scene. Later they took up a spot in the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) for 2023. Pique’s KOI also actively competes in esports tournaments of VALORANT, Rainbow Six Siege and Rocket League.
César Azpilicueta
Chelsea defender César Azpilicueta founded the Spanish esports organization Falcons in 2020. Since then the organization has build rosters in FIFA, VALORANT and League of Legends. They currently compete in the SuperLiga 2nd Division, which is the second tier of Spanish League of Legends.
Casemiro
Manchester United’s Casemiro founded his own esports organization, Case Esports, which majorly competes in the regional leagues of esports titles, like CS:GO (ESL Masters España), VALORANT (VCT Challengers Spain) and FIFA.
