It has been hinted at by the former OpTic Gaming stalwart Nadeshot that his team dubbed 100 Thieves could be making a return to the competitive scene in the near future.
It was last year that they were started as an organisation by the former Call of Duty star and they had managed to earn qualification for the 2nd stage of the North American Call of Duty World League.
This time as a team owner did not turn out too well. The team did manage to finish in the top 20 for the MLG Anaheim event but they finished at the bottom of the Call of Duty World League which led to them withdrawing from the game.
There were numerous controversies during this time period in which team changes were made and issues surrounded contracts.
On social media Nadeshot made hints that the brand would be returning but it is not yet clear if this will be in the competitive space as an organisation. Last year when he first talked about 100 Thieves he said the original idea was to have a clothing brand which then happened to turn into a competitive esports organisation.
Qualifications for the first stage of the CWL World League have already been tied up so it would be very hard to put together a solid roster at this stage in time for the 2nd stage of the league.
He has also been posting photos of himself wearing different types of 100 Thieves clothing on social media which seems to hint at the non-organisational direction the brand may be taking.
